Ancient barbarous antoninianus of Tetricus II (ca.270-280 AD) - rare PAX type with a rudder, Roman Gaul

 

Size: 14 mm, 1.43 grams, bronze.

Crude inscriptions, radiate and draped bust right / Crude inscriptions, Pax standing left, holding an olive branch and a rudder. Brown patina, much nicer than the scan, Nice quality for these. Found in a hoard in Northern France.
