Tiny repair on a snuff box. It is practically invisible.
Attributed to a sculptor Johann Joachim Kändler, it shows a life-like monkey taking snuff out of a small box.
The porcelain factory at Meissen, near Dresden, was founded in 1709. It was the first European factory to produce hard-paste porcelain. The manufactory was owned by Augustus the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland.
