This is a rare and unusual item by James Cauty.
In 2008 when James Cauty first decided to stop making prints, he released eight 'complete stampage' boxsets of reprints of every print he'd made to that point in the classic 'pop' size of 30cm x 33cm. It was a collection of around 250 prints and it sold for £3500 from Aquarium L-13.
This auction is for the box the prints came in which is quite a luxury item in itself.
The box measures 33.2cm x 36.7cm x 14.3cm.
It has a feux leather finish with the title and symbol on the front indented.
This box is 15 years old and has a few marks and wear on its edges.
Inside the inside lining needs reglued on one side.
It comes with a certificate of authenticity, which is signed. There is a light crease on this.
It would be an ideal item to store Cauty prints in. One of only eight made!
