The Jefferson Township Police Department is located in the County of Mercer, Pennsylvania. The Township itself borders the following Municipalities: the City of Hermitage, Borough of Clark, Delaware Township, Coolspring Township, East Lackawannock Township, Lackawannock Township, and Pymatuning Township. The Township is approximately 25.3 square miles and 0.08 square miles of water, with 39.6 road miles. This Department provides services to approximately 1,880(+) residents. The Department also provides a contract with the Federal Government (Army Core of Engineers) to patrol the Shennango Lake and Shennango River Reservoir.
