Universal Parasitic Drain Tester Power Leakage Tester + U-shaped Battery Clamp
Parasitic Drain Tester Power Leakage Tester with U-shaped Battery Clamp
The main function:
This product adopts a unique design, under the condition of keeping the car ECU uninterrupted, it can test the standby of the car ECU, the normal working current or the abnormal working current of the electronic components
Features:
1. This product uses a unique U-shaped battery pile spring clamp, which can be connected to the battery pile without removing the battery pile connection line.
2. It adopts a 4mm pure copper banana plug that can be inserted continuously, and when using a multimeter to read the current value, it can also be superimposed on the multimeter to test the voltage or current (compared to the multimeter)
3. Adopt all-inclusive high-current battery clip to ensure smoother operation of the product
4. Adopt high-current, low-resistance switch to improve product life
Instructions
1. Stop and turn off the engine, open the hood, lock the door, and wait for the ECU to enter sleep
2. Clamp the battery pile (negative) with a spring clip, and then use the all-inclusive battery clamp to clamp the battery pile (negative)/ground
3. Flip the switch to the ON position (I/closed), insert the 4mm banana plug (red) into the A/10/20A jack of the multimeter, insert the 4mm banana plug (black) into the COM jack of the multimeter, and turn the multimeter to dial The disc points to the A/10A/20A gear
4. Use an M10 wrench to loosen the battery pile clamp nut, disconnect the battery pile clamp and the battery pile, you can use cardboard or plastic sheet to separate
5. Toggle the switch to OFF (O/open) position, then the current value can be read by a multimeter
6. If you need to change the range of the multimeter, you should turn the switch to ON (I/closed) position, then turn the dial of the multimeter to select the appropriate range and re-plug the 4mm banana plug (red) [if necessary], then toggle the switch To OFF (O/disconnect) gear
Note:
1. Please turn off the engine before testing the leakage and remove the key. Do not start the engine during the test to avoid burning the fuse.
2. Leakage measurement needs to simulate the non-starting state of the car at ordinary times. Please close the door and pull out the key (lockable) to make the car computer enter the dormant state.
3. The time for the computer to enter the dormant state varies for different models. Please wait patiently during the measurement to determine whether there is leakage current.
4. The computer standby current of different car models is different, but the ideal value should fall between 20 mA and 60 mA.
5. It is recommended to use a 10A fuse to replace the fuse of the wire tester to avoid burning the multimeter
