He then spirels freefall downwards into mental breakdown and retires to a lonely lifestyle taking a job as a lighthouse man far out to sea.

Soon a miracle happens as if in response to his broken heart and what has now shaped it' his deep remorse and desire to have been thier at sea to help his family particularly his duaghter, and added to this being thier for the weary sea traveler in his job as the lighthouse man, The miracle as if rewarded or reinversed for his loss and attonements' comes out of another fateful sinking of a ship with the lone serviver joining him on the island.
