This scarce 1930's Savings Check was printed by the Northwestern Bankers & Merchants Check Co. and circulated by Simonson & Ames, a general store in the small town of Plaza North Dakota. It was payable (or depositable) at the First National Bank (now Cornerstone Bank) in an aggregate amount of $1 or more.
The reverse, which mimics Large Size U.S. Currency, encourages savings and thrift during a time of great financial hardship - the Great Depression!
Terrific Western financial item!!
