1868 Rare Bill of Lading Malt-Liquor Shipment By Sea from Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow to San Francisco, Antique Sea Shipment Alcohol Receipt
This is a rare 1868 Bill of Lading for a malt-liquor shipment by sea from Wellpark Brewery, Glasgow to San Francisco, and it has a "Crown and Six Pence" embossed seal to the right of the ship.
It lists 820 Casks, 900 Quarts, and 4690 Pints of Bottled Malt-Liquor. The document guarantees shipment except if any of the following happens: (The Act of God, the Queen's Enemies, Fire and all and every other dangers and accidents of the Seas, Rivers, and Navigation of whatever nature and kind soever excepted).
****It is enclosed in plastic on a piece of a whiteboard. The upper left corner, the upper right corner, and the right edge of the bill of lading is missing. It has "1868" written in pencil at the upper right side of the document.
It is 10 3/4" long and 6" tall, and it is fantastic.
This is an incredible historical piece of memorabilia, and it would make great wall decor for a brewery, bar, home bar, man cave, or she shed.
