This simple Birthday Greeting card dates, I think, to the 1930s.  It was sent to a member of the "Birkenhead News Children's League".  The members were referred to as "Chums" and the figurehead was "Auntie Gladys".  This card was sent to a James S. Rowlands (possibly Bowlands) - there is a number of 12.430 - whether this means that the Birthday was 12th April 1930 I am not sure.   The card measures 14cm x 8.8cm and is a single layer.   No envelope.

The card is in a very good condition.   General edge and corner rubs, tiny creases at corners, very light crease at top left hand corner, light bend at top right hand corner, some very light grey/brown spotting to background, some light rubs and some light marks to reverse - card came loose to me but may have been very lightly mounted in the past, the odd tiny bump to edges.  Please check scans carefully as they help with the condition too.

Please note that because of packaging laws in Germany and France requiring businesses to pay a subscription, I do not currently send items to these countries. If you are based in Germany or France please do not purchase unless you have an address outside those countries to which the item can be sent.

Please note surface mail or first class inland mail options are always available, please ask for a quote. I always refund any excess postage charges.

I try to be accurate with my descriptions but if you have any questions please contact me. Take a look at my other auctions and ebay shop items for more collectables.
