In support of the aeronautical charity, Wings of Hope, Oris released a 1000-piece limited edition of the Big Crown pilot's watch which is powered by the in-house caliber, Oris 401. It features a 40 mm multi-piece stainless steel case that holds a crisp white dial under a double-domed sapphire crystal. The dial has black and luminescent Arabic numerals as hour markers and matching silver-tone pencil-style hands. The immaculate and minimalist dial has a small seconds register at the 6 o'clock position while the signature big crown sits at the 3 o'clock position. This watch has a beige leather strap secured with a stainless steel signed buckle. This watch has a screw-down exhibition caseback, a Swiss automatic movement capable of 120 hours worth of power reserve, elevated levels of anti-magnetism, and is water-resistant up to 50 meters/165 feet.

Oris was founded by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian in the Swiss town of Hölstein. They bought the recently closed Lohner & Co watch factory, and on June 1, 1904, the two men entered into a contract with the local mayor.
