I recently acquired this 1967 Thunderbird 390 / 428 Air Cleaner base and lid that looks like it was removed when the car was new or about new and put on a shelf. By all indications, it is original and in beautiful condition.
I have had this model air cleaner before, and this is, BY FAR, the nicest Unrestored one I have ever seen.
If You Know, You Know
1967 Thunderbird Air Cleaners and Lids are almost identical to Boss 302, 390 GT, and 428 CJ Air Cleaners. With removal of the snorkel, modifying the opening to accept the rectangular snorkel, chroming the lid, and some other minor modifications, this would be correct for those other motors. Or remove the snorkel, cut two openings, weld a metal mesh, and you have a 1967 390 GT Air Cleaner as used on Fairlanes and Mustangs. Or just keep it as it is and you'll have one of the nicest 1967 Thunderbird Air Cleaners that you will ever find.
Carefully review the photos. The paint is not perfect. The metal, to the best of my knowledge, is perfect with no issues. Any questions, please ask before bidding.
