In
his early years, he learned painting from Liu Haisu and Yaming. Since
1971, he has participated in Nanjing Art Exhibition, Jiangsu Provincial
Art Exhibition, and National Art Exhibition. His works won the
Excellence Award of "Advance China Youth Art Exhibition", the Gold Award
of "Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition across the Taiwan Strait", the
Excellence Award of "The 10th International Art Exhibition in the United
States", the Excellence Award of "Canada International Maple Leaf
Exhibition", and the "Exhibition of Representative Japanese and Chinese
Ink Painting Artists" Excellence Award. He was awarded the World Bronze
Medal Artist. He was invited to paint for Beijing Zhongnanhai, the Great
Hall of the People, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, the Office of the Prime
Minister, the Taiwan Office of the State Council, and Nobori Takeshita,
the former Prime Minister of Japan.
