 On this listing we offer the "bitStork MOD1000VFD" kit, which allows to repair your beloved YAESU FT-1000D / FT-1000 transceiver. This service kit replaces the complete VFD DISPLAY with the LED based part.

This listing includes:

  • The bitStork MOD1000VFD module - specially designed PCB with the 7-segments LED displays, LED bars and the Front-Mask with text-elements,
  • Additional Voltage Regulator with the Heat Sink,
  • Electronic copy (pdf document) of "Step-By-Step" repair manual (photo-history of the FT-1000D modification).
The new LED display emulates all text-elements of the original YAESU FT-1000D display. Please note that most of the controls are placed in a different place, have different size/color and some of the text descriptions are shortened to three letters. So, it will look a bit different than the original display.

NOTE: YAESU FT-1000D radio (shown on pictures) is NOT the part of this auction!

Installation notes:

The MOD1000VFD modification is a relatively easy fix. All details are described in the modification manual (pdf file), which will be send to your email address after the purchase.

(The original VFD converter in your radio will be switched OFF after installation.)
