The 2009 Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz shows typical depth of colour, deep red with a vibrant purple hue. The nose is full of enticing, lifted aromas of blackberry and blueberry fruits, oriental spice, liquorice, vanilla bean and dark chocolate. Concentrated, yet elegantly balanced, the mid palate weight has a richness of fruit with powerful silky tannin structure, excellent length and depth. 

The concentration and power are beautifully balanced with layers of blackberry, coffee bean and dark chocolate. The wine has serious grunt, while having a lovely drive of acidity that will support the wine as it ages long in to the future. It has all the hallmarks of a classic, rich Barossa shiraz with undeniable vibrancy and freshness. An outstanding wine.
