Mosaic  wall art made with stained glass and Italian smalti. The background is painted. The mosaic was inspired by a picture of a very talented photographer, with his permission. It represents a  swan stretching his large  wing while taking off or landing on water. It is peaceful in its simpleness. The white  in contrast with  the bluish-black  background is striking. A day-night kind of affair. This mosaic has a lot of depth due to various shapes in the glass and double layers in certain spots. Some pieces are sticking out and are sharp, the surface is uneven. It is beautiful seen from any angle- side, bottom, above. Because of this artistic feature, handling with care is required. The artist is in no way responsible for mishandling this piece. The piece is framed in a simple matted frame. The frame can be easily replaced to match your decor. The mosaic itself is 7.5x9.5, the framed piece is 14x17.
