there are endless resources available online and in print for the numismatic hobby, please, please research your purchases beforehand.  The more you learn about our hobby, the more you will enjoy it!

For any listings containing proof coins - The fields on proof coins have a mirror finish, and when you photograph them, that reflective surface appears black.  They are not black, when you have the coin in front of you the fields are the silver or gold colour of the rest of the coin.  The photos of the proof coins are intended to demonstrate the ultra heavy cameo, and show that the coin is not impaired.

For any listings described as "BU" - "Brilliant Uncirculated" are business strike coins. BU coins are NOT proof, proof-like, NBU, or specimen coins.  They were minted for circulation and were NOT specially handled at the mint.  The mint poured them into a big metal bin together, and loaded them into an industrial rolling machine. All business strike coins have contact marks (known in the hobby as "bag marks")  They are never perfect.  If you want a perfect coin, you want a proof, prooflike, or specimen coin, not a BU business strike.  Note that this includes coins from the "first strikes" roll sets, they are still business strikes.

For any listings that contain glow in the dark coins - You must "charge" the glow feature each time you want it to glow in the dark.  Hold the coin under a INCANDESCENT light for a long period, or in sunlight for a long period, or under ultraviolet (UV) light for a short period to charge the material in the paint, then move it into a dark area.  When the glow fades, you have to recharge the material again.

Photos - All of our photos for Proof, Proof-Like, NBU, and Specimen coins are stock photos, because all of those coins are identical when unimpaired.  (For any listing you see from any seller on ebay, if the quantity available is greater than one (1), that always has to be stock photos if you only see one item. )  For BU and AU coins, the stock photos used are representative of the same grade that is advertised, AU50/55 or the Mint State grade for that listing.
