There is no current place called Keeneville, NY; the name was changed to Spragueville in 1883 after being called Keeneville from 1878 to 1883 (Jefferson County)


Trade cards were often a primary means of marketing used by medical professionals as well as snake-oil vendors, quacks and the like. This card promotes that “Oil of Universal Relief is a veritable cure-all for diseases of human flesh and may be used in a thousand ways in the Family”
