10 folios containing 20 drawings each, held in 2 printed hardcovers quarter-bound in brown cloth. The folios, unpaginated, show scenes of World War I on one page with a facing page of text for each drawing. Bone, a Scottish etcher, specialized military and architectural drawing. This work portrayed the war about as close to real time as could be achieved, with an introduction by a British commander, Douglas Haig.


Condition of this set
Covers show stains, paper labels damaged. All drawings fine except for several in Part IV of V.2, which have black blemishes that resemble finger marks. Overall a very good and complete set.
