With an overwhelming Imperial Force bearing down on them, the Rebels at Echo Base were forced to rely on the scant resources available to mount a defense. Making use of local fauna, such as tauntauns and led by Rebel hero Leia Organa, these valiant Rebels used their ingenuity and courage in this seemingly impossible task. Though they were ultimately driven back, they were able to stand firm long enough to buy many of their transports enough time to escape Hoth and keep the dream of the Rebellion alive for another day.
