French vintage coffee tablecloth. 

The fabric is DAMASK cotton in off white color with cotton bobbin lace edges. 

DAMASK is a solid, patterned cotton fabric distinguished by using contrasting luster. The pattern effect is created by utilizing a satin weave in combination with a sateen, twill or100 plain weave.

This is a unique piece of "du Puy" style made in the early twentieth century by the "Experton Family Enterprise". This tablecloth will look lovely on your coffee or tea table, would make a stunning piece for a celebration meal, or as an everyday feature piece. 

The fabric is in perfect condition ( New Old Stock) and never been used, with some light dusty/tea storage marks from age and antique. Gently hand wash or soaked in soft natural soap, rinsed and towel dried (no wringing!!) and let to air dry on the line, if possible expose them under the sun light for a brighter color.

* Please note that all our laces and fabrics are sold as found, they are old and antique ( some of them are about 100 years old), the fibers were grown without using any chemicals. We recommend that the buyer wash them before use, preferably hand wash (although it can also be machine washed) with warm water and using a neutral natural soap. Let it air dry in sunlight if possible.

Any stained/soiled or damaged lace WILL BE DESCRIBED and will reflect the price, they have been stored for many years so it is possible that some of the rolls have some tea stain age freckles. 

* The handmade lace is made by different women and threads, in some occasions the color of each roll, from the same type, differs slightly.
