An exquisite art deco onyx decorative one handled amphora, handcarved and assembled in Italy. 

Materials: Brass with matte finish, and light green banded onyx.

Condition: Used, in excellent condition. Sturdy piece, no rust or breakage.

While perforated in the middle, the onyx doesn't have an actual liquid holding cavity, so it's purpose is entirely decorative.

This item is a typical example of a piece of decoration from the 60's trend of alabaster/onyx interior decor, which at the time used to be a "must have" in the more affluent homes. Depending on how well off a household was, one would see larger and larger items made of onyx in their living rooms. 

This piece used to adorn an upper-middle class home in Athens, Greece.
