Antique French 1834-1890 Sarreguemines Majolica Tavern Pitcher Vintage Judaica

Amazing French Majolica tavern pitcher with a Judaica theme. Both the exterior and interior glaze colors are still incredible rich and vibrant which gives the details tremendous depth. The interior pink color practically glows!

Fantastic details throughout, the quality of the gestures and expressions of the various characters really brings this authentic countryside tavern scene to life.

A Star of David can been seen on one side of the pitcher which was typical in some of these early Judaica themed pieces.

Very nice preowned condition, there is one good size chip to the inside of the rim with a few hairline underglaze lines throughout.

Crazing and glaze pops can also be seen throughout the piece, all typical of age and use.

The distance from the spout to the handle is approximately 7.75".

The top opening diameter is approximately 4.25"

The pitcher is approximately 9.25" in height.

The bottom diameter is approximately 6.25".
