The sweeps ring is used in conjunction with the Lyemance or Lock-Top Dampers 

to make it easy to clean your chimney. Simply mount the Sweeps Ring permanently to 

your chimney flue and then mount the Lyemance Damper or Lock-Top Damper 

to the Sweeps Ring with 4 screws.
