Hopestill Farnham was the pen name for Nellie Wade Whitcomb who was born in Old Orchard in 1861.I believe she lived most of her life in Maine and is a noted poet. I am assuming that she did the front watercolor and it is wonderful. The heavy paper deckle edged front and back cover measures 8 1/2" x 7". Inside is a 6 page written poem "A Winter Picture". This is late 19th to early 20th Century. Really really nice. Thank you for looking.
