On this listing we offer the "bitStork MOD565LCD" kit, which allows to repair your beloved TEN-TEC ORION 565 transceiver. It replaces the original LCD display, which is not available any more.

This listing includes:

• "bitStork MOD565LCD" connectors' ADAPTER,
• A new (replacement) LCD display - with Black-on-White colors,
• A set of mounting screws and bushings,
• Back-Light connection cable.
• Electronic (pdf) document) with "Step-By-Step" repair manual (photo-history of the real ORION 565 LCD modification).

NOTE:  This display works properly only in the "Black-on-White" mode (ORION's menu setting: "Black/White").

In "White/Black" menu setting - it shows flickering and/or "ghost effects" (probably due to too high contrast).

Installation notes:

The MOD565LCD modification is a relatively easy fix. It requires only mechanical disassembly/assembly work (no soldering). All details are describe in the modification manual (pdf file), which will be send to your email address after the purchase (please share with us your email address after the purchase).
