HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOOR OFFSET

Correctly identifying your door’s offset ensures you purchase the right Kason latch or hinge. The offset describes how far the face of the door sits in or out from the door frame.

  • Flush: Door surface is even with the frame — use a Flush Latch Kit.
  • Offset: Door surface is recessed or proud of the frame — measure the distance from door face to frame face.
  • Example: A 1/2″ offset means the door face sits 1/2″ out from the frame face.
