First, the card. It is flimsy thin, the stock likely paper. It is shiny polished on both sides. Next the business card owner. Uhle was a conveyancer, a lawyer who specialized in matters pertaining to the conveying of real estate. He was an early member of the Conveyancing Ass'n. of Philadelphia, and practiced at 619 Walnut Street, Philadelphia. I found him listed in the 1878 Edition of McElroys Philadelphia City Directory. Card measures 1 3/16" X 2 7/8" An interesting note: conveyance matters were slowly taken over by title companies.
