Frederic Remington "A Spanish Escort" (AKA "Zebulon Pike Entering Santa Fe").  Outer frame dimensions are 17 1/2" x 13", image size is 12 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Original framed print from the 1908 Collier's Portfolio titled "Thirty Favorite Paintings" (by American Artists). The frame face is 2" wide with a curved bevel inward and has the typical rustic Remington charm. (one of his "Famous Twelve Explorers" Series). Exceptional condition,  A really nice piece (or gift) for the Remington/Western fan/collector.  It has been professionally restored and back in the original frame with acid-free backing, new hardware and dustcover and ready to hang.
