You are bidding on a one of a kind original painting from the LEGENDS (Nov 1994) expansion series of Magic the Gathering.  This was the original piece created for the card known as HOLY DAY (a useful common) by artist extraordinaire Justin Hampton.  Magic art from these very early expansion series have become quite rare and expensive and many of the artist like Justin have gone on to fame.  

As was customary for those very early days of Mtg the art was of smaller scale with the complete piece itself measuring approximately 9.0'' x 7"  and the painted section at 7" x 5.5"

This artpiece is modestly framed just as it was purchased from the old Wizards Art Gallery back in 1994.  I will throw the frame in for free if desired but since I believe most collectors will be reframing this, suggest shipping this without the frame for safety and shipping reasons (especially if doing so internationally). If you choose to not include the frame I'll provide a $100 discount.

For reference about me, I've been a MtG art fan and collector since the release of Legends.  I've owned as many as 140 MtG originals at a time including 4 of the 5 Moxes, the last (Pearl) leaving my collection in 2014.  I've bought, sold and brokered probably twice that many though mostly in the late 90's yearly 2000's.  Just recently I started culling my collection a bit more trying to raise money for a home renovation so keep checking my auctions as I'll gradually be putting up a few more prints and originals for sale.  

Sadly I'm far from an expert photographer but tried to put a sampling of photos to show the art from different angles/viewpoints and lighting.  The art typically looks even better in person.  Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to oblige.
