Important – Brewing & Usage Instructions
This teapot is designed for brewing and serving tea only.
DO NOT place the teapot directly on a hob, stovetop or exposed flame.
Heat water separately in a suitable kettle or conventional stainless steel pot, then pour the hot water into the teapot for brewing.
To prepare tea:
- Place your preferred loose-leaf tea into the stainless steel infuser.
- Add the required quantity according to the tea variety and your preferred strength.
- Pour hot water into the teapot.
- Replace the lid and allow the tea to brew for approximately 3–5 minutes.
- Remove the infuser and serve.
How to Clean Your Cast Iron Teapot
- Fill the teapot with hot water, pour it out and repeat 3–5 times.
- Rinse the outside with hot water.
- Do not use cleaning products on the inside or outside of the cast iron teapot.
- While warm, wipe the teapot with a soft drying cloth.
- Clean the stainless steel infuser separately with hot soapy water.
- Dry the teapot thoroughly and leave it inverted to air dry before replacing the lid and infuser.
Care Instructions
- Avoid contact with salts and oils.
- Do not place a hot teapot into cold water.
- Never use in a microwave.
- Never place in a dishwasher.
- Do not use utensils that could scratch the enamel lining.
- Use a trivet to help protect tables and other surfaces from heat.
Rust & Cast Iron Care
The enamel-lined interior helps protect the teapot during normal use and care. As with cast iron products, proper drying and storage are important.
If rust occurs, clean the affected area gently with a soft brush. A traditional tea-leaf cleaning method can also be used to help treat minor surface rust.
