Rose Pouchong Black Tea

Also called China Rose or Rose Congou. Congou is a general term used to describe any black China tea irrespective of district.

This tastes exactly as one would imagine it to do. Probably best without milk but certainly drinkable with, maybe even a small slice of sweet orange.

The word Pouchong literally means ‘the wrapped kind’, from the Chinese ‘pau-ching-tê’, and refers to the practice of wrapping the leaves in paper during the drying process, now largely discontinued due to advances in tea production.
