This is a great set of 1978 – 1981 Volume 1 Marvel Comics, some Cents and Some Pence pricing.

All original and in Great condition.

 

Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) is a fictional super-heroine appearing in American comic

 books published  by Marvel. The character first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #32 (February 1977), and

 50 issues of an ongoing series titled Spider-Woman followed, 10 of which are included in this fabulous

 collection.

Each comic comes individually bagged and carded.

 


#5 1978

Cover pencils by Dave Cockrum, inks by Ernie Chan. Nightmare starring Spider-Woman [Jessica Drew], Hangman, Charles Magnus, Priscilla Dolly, and Morgan Le Fey, script by Marv Wolfman, pencils by Carmine Infantino, inks by Tony DeZuniga; Spider-Man Meets the Home Wrecker Hostess ad, pencils by Sal Buscema, inks by Joe Sinnott.

An excellent copy with great eye appeal. Cover is relatively flat with minimal surface wear beginning to show, some minor wear at top corner. Inks are generally bright with moderate to high reflectivity. Minor moisture lines. Spine is almost completely flat. Staples show no discoloration. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Centerfold is secure. Minor interior staining at top corner throughout and minor moisture line on back cover.

Another excellent copy with great eye appeal. Cover is almost flat with very minimal surface wear beginning to show, some very minor wear at top corner. Inks are generally bright with moderate to high reflectivity. Spine is almost completely flat. Staples show no discoloration. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Centerfold is secure. Very minor interior staining at top corner to inside cover and rear.

July 4, 1978... starring Spider-Woman and love interest Jeremy Hunt, script by Marv Wolfman, pencils by Carmine Infantino, inks by Steve Leialoha and Al Gordon; Spider-Woman continues trying to figure out what happened to her deceased father.

Another excellent copy with great eye appeal. Cover is almost flat with just small sticker removal mark at the pricing location and subtle bend appearing on bottom right. Inks are generally bright with moderate to high reflectivity. Spine is almost completely flat. Staples show no discoloration. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Centerfold is secure.

Inks are generally bright with moderate to high reflectivity. Staples show no discoloration. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Centerfold is secure.

 

#12 1979

Another excellent copy with great eye appeal. Cover is again almost flat, this comic has small sticker over the pricing area. Inks are generally bright with moderate to high reflectivity. Staples show no discoloration. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Slight tear in center fold. Centerfold is secure however has small 2cm ish tear near the spine on 1 page.

 

#14 1979

Spine is almost completely flat. Staples show no discoloration. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Centerfold is secure.

Front Barcode crossed through.

 

#34 1981

Cover art by Steve Leialoha. The Wildfire Express!, script by Steve Leialoha (plot) and Chris Claremont (plot, script), pencils by Steve Leialoha, inks by Bruce Patterson (pages 1-15, 30) and Al Milgrom (pages 16-28); Spider-Woman comes across a dirty company take-over and intervenes.

Another excellent copy with great eye appeal. Cover is again almost flat. Inks are generally bright with moderate to high reflectivity. Staples show some discoloration and minor rust staining contained to center fold on 1 staple. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Centerfold is secure.  Front has 10p written by spidy logo but blends in.

 

#36 1981

The Wanderer! starring Spider-Woman, Lindsay McCabe, Tysrani (Introduction), and Elhalyn (Introduction), script by Chris Claremont, pencils by Steve Leialoha (breakdowns) and Bruce Patterson (finished art), inks by Bruce Patterson (pages 1-18) and Jon D'Agostino (pages 23-30).

Another excellent copy with great eye appeal. Cover is again almost flat however print is off center making staples visible. Inks are generally bright with moderate to high reflectivity. Staples show no discoloration. Paper is cream to tan and supple. Centerfold is secure. Corners on bottom of comic are folded slightly and cover has minor fold marks.

Great for Spider-man collectors.
