"THE RELEASE"  was the first commercially produced release aid produced back in the late 1960s by Pat Norris at Bonnie Bowman Archery.  This is the one that helped make todays release aids popular.

 

There was also one called the "Bow Loc" that was made a few years before releases became popular and developed into today's fantastic releases..  

Injection molded from White Nylon you could change the white to red, green, blue with food coloring dye.

Most of the first perfect indoor scores in California and throughout the USA were shot using this release.
