COMMEMORATIVE 2 ZLOTE COIN OF POLAND BENEDYKT DYBOWSKI THE NATURALIST AND PHYSICIAN OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF KAMTCHATKA
You are invited to purchase a 2 zlote coin of Poland from the series Polish Travelers and Explorers commemorating the famous Polish naturalist and physician of the indigenous people of Kamtchatka, Benedykt Dybowski.
Metal: (Golden Nordic) CuAl5Zn5Sn1 alloy Dia: 27 mm Weight: 8.15 g This coin was minted in 2010 and is in uncirculated condition.
Obverse: An image of the Eagle established as the State Emblem of the Republic of
Poland. On the sides of the Eagle, the notation of the year of issue: 20-10; below the
Eagle, an inscription: ZŁ 2 ZŁ. In the rim, an inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA
(Republic of Poland), preceded and followed by six pearls. The Mint’s mark: M/W, under
the Eagle’s left leg.
Reverse: In the centre, a stylised image of the bust of Benedykt Dybowski. On the lefthand side, an inscription: 1833/1930. On the right-hand side, a semicircular inscription:
BENEDYKT DYBOWSKI. On the edge: An inscription, NBP, eight times repeated, every
second one inverted 180 degrees, separated by stars.
