Rabbit In Red Lounge Match Book - Halloween Movie Prop Replica, Screen Accurate
The Rabbit in Red Lounge match book is first
seen in the hands of Nurse Marion Chambers, as she and Dr. Sam Loomis are on
their way to pick up Michael Myers from the insane asylum in the original 1979
slasher movie, Halloween. Later, Dr. Loomis finds the match book near an
abandoned truck from Phelps Garage, a clue that Michael Myers had been nearby
(and was now wearing coveralls, which was a great way to make him even more
featureless and inhuman).
I've recreated the match book for you (or your
horror fan friends) to own! It's a great little horror movie prop replica
- a bit obscure, but not too obscure (the Rabbit in Red Lounge was featured
much more in Rob Zombie's remake). The front features the Rabbit in Red
logo, along with a printed distressed strike strip (it's illegal to place an
actual strike strip on the front of a matchbook these days). The back
features the address of the Rabbit in Red Lounge as used in Rob Zombie's
remake. I thought this was fair (and fun), as the back of the matchbook
is never shown in the original.
