THE ROLLING STONES SOME GIRLS LIVE IN TEXAS '78 180 GRAM 2LP/DVD (RED & YELLOW VINYL) |
Live 1978 Concert On 180g Vinyl Double LP + DVD! Red & Yellow Vinyl!
Mixed & Mastered by Bob Clearmountain From Original Multi-track Tapes!
Live concert performed and recorded during a show at the Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth, Texas, July 18, 1978 during the Rolling Stones' US Tour 1978 in support of their "Some Girls" album.
The Rolling Stones 1978 tour of the USA in support of that year's "Some Girls" album is considered by fans to be one of their very best. The tour followed immediately on the release of the "Some Girls" album and by the time the band arrived in Texas in mid-July the album had hit the No. 1 spot on the US charts. The tour took a "back to basics" approach, with the band and their music very much at the forefront and little or no elaborate staging.
Filmed at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas on July 18, 1978, this concert is typical of the tour with the Rolling Stones delivering a raw, energetic performance in front of a crowd who are clearly loving the show. Many of the tracks from "Some Girls" are included in the live set with a sprinkling of Stones classics from earlier albums. Originally shot on 16mm film, the footage has been carefully restored and the sound remixed and remastered by Bob Clearmountain from the original multitrack tapes. This is undeniably the Rolling Stones at the peak of their form.
DVD bonus features include newly filmed interview with Mick Jagger.

The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 3 LP SET
180g Vinyl 3LP Set On Vinyl For The First Time!
Remastered Hi-Resolution Audio!
Includes Newly Discovered Performances by The Dirty Mac!
The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus features remastered hi-res audio. Includes newly discovered material and never before released performances here on three 180g LPs - first time on vinyl!
Directed by Let It Be's Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the performance was recorded in front of a live audience in London in 1968 and was originally conceived as a BBC-TV special.
"It was an incredible shoot, I think, 36 hours or something," said Keith Richards of the historic day back in December ’68. "I remember not remembering everything towards the end… but it was fun… we went through two audiences… wore one out… it was great!"
The Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus soundtrack has been remixed and expanded to 28 songs and released across triple vinyl.
The show also featured performances from The Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, Yoko Ono, as well as ‘supergroup’ The Dirty Mac – consisting of Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and John Lennon. Unheard tracks by the collective are available on this release for the first time ever.
"You are about to be transported to another age: swinging London in the late sixties. The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus is a time capsule. Two days in December 1968 that in many ways capture the spontaneity, aspirations and communal spirit of an entire era. ...for a brief moment it seemed that rock 'n' roll would inherit the earth." - David Dalton
"...brings back the sleek young Stones in all their insolent glory, recalling a time when they ruled the roost." - New York Times
"The whole thing is awash with skewed period charm, with the late-'60s 'anything goes' mentality..." - The Guardian

The Rolling Stones - Steel Wheels Live (Live From Atlantic
City, NJ, 1989) (Limited Edition
Tangerine/Sky Blue Vinyl)
Limited edition 180-gram tangerine and sky blue vinyl 4LP!
Live from Atlantic City, N.J. 1989
Special guests Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Eric Clapton &
John Lee Hooker
Having not hit the road for most of the '80s, The Steel
Wheels Tour was an astounding return for the Rolling Stones, not least as it
was the longest they had by that point undertaken. It was also to be their last
with Bill Wyman. Steel Wheels Live was recorded towards the end of the band's
60-date run through the stadiums of North America, in the second half of 1989.
The gate-busting ticket sales were one thing, but the stage
and lighting design of The Steel Wheels Tour set the pace for superstar tours
as we know them today. Special guest appearances from Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin,
Eric Clapton and John Lee Hooker on this Atlantic City date make this an even
more extraordinary document of the band's return to touring.

The Rolling Stones HAVANA MOON - 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 3LP SET + DVD
DVD+3LP set packaged in a LP-sized gatefold jacket
A stunning performance of 18 of their classics!
It's only rock'n'roll — but Cuba really seems to like it. Last March, the Rolling Stones played an historic show in Havana, performing "Sympathy for the Devil," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Paint It Black," "Midnight Rambler" and a host of other tracks to an audience long-starved of major music acts thanks to the embargo of the country.
The British rockers free show attracted a million people in the country's capital city in the same week as President Obama became the first U.S. President to visit Cuba in 88 years. TV News Networks around the world reported that Obama was "the warm up act" for The Rolling Stones. As the Stones took to the stage under a perfect "Havana Moon" in front of an ecstatic crowd everyone knew that this was a life-changing cultural moment for a country on the brink of change.
"Cuba's incredible, man," Stones guitarist Keith Richards told Entertainment Weekly. "We were playing to a million-odd people. And they were all saying ‘The times they are a-changing.' Just one great incredible rush of adrenaline and joy. Was so happy to be there. Never thought I'd get there. Mind you, I didn't think I'd get to Moscow either! But incredible to go to places that have been so isolated from us all for so long. A beautiful feeling."
On Nov. 11, 2016 Eagle Rock Entertainment is releasing The Stones' performance under the title Havana Moon on DVD+3LP.

180 Gram 3LP Set Plus DVD Chronicling The Stones' Historic 2013 Return To London's Hyde Park!
Sweet Summer Sun Hyde Park Live chronicles The Rolling Stones’ historic and triumphant return to London’s Hyde Park in the summer of 2013 with a 2-hour live concert and highlights package including new and unseen backstage footage. The band played to over 100,000 delirious fans packed into Hyde Park for two spectacular outdoor concerts to see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood do what they do best. The Stones delivered a five star performance packed full of hits such as ‘Start Me Up’, ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’, ‘Miss You’, ‘It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll’, ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Doom And Gloom’ and ‘Sympathy For The Devil’, as well as one or two surprises.
Mick Jagger said about the concert: “It was a great gig…It was beautiful with the sun going down over Hyde Park. I can’t think of a better way celebrate the Rolling Stones’ 50 than doing it on our home patch in front of 100,000 people on a glorious summer night…enjoy it… we certainly did.”
Keith Richards commented: “Coming back to Hyde Park was like a full circle being drawn, and the band were in top form. We thought what could be more appropriate than having a great summer in London!”
From the second the Rolling Stones stepped out onto the stage each night, through to the dazzling firework and pyrotechnic display that heralded the end of the concert, fans old and new were treated to a non-stop, hit after hit performance, which took them through the Stones’ huge back catalogue. Keith Richards wowed the crowds by weaving his charismatic guitar licks with Ronnie Wood’s immense solos, Mick Jagger was on spectacular form, his boundless energy on stage matched by a number of stunning outfit changes, and Charlie Watts the unflappable heartbeat of the band, driving the band on through the set.
Former guitarist Mick Taylor – whose live debut with the Stones took place at the original 1969 Hyde Park concert – joined the band on stage to guest on the bluesy ‘Midnight Rambler’ and on closing track ‘Satisfaction’, whilst long-term live band members Lisa Fischer, Darryl Jones, Chuck Leavell, Bernard Fowler, Bobby Keys and Tim Ries all added their inimitable flair and finesse.
The Rolling Stones Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live is the perfect way for concert-goers to relive their favourite memories from the gigs, and for their fans to see the band back where they truly belong: live on the stage in their hometown.

Chess studios. They recorded the big hits 'It's All Over Now' and 'Time Is On
My Side'. Also recorded were eight legendary outtakes which were never
officially released, including 'Goodbye Girl', a rare Bill Wyman composition.
Also included are bonus tracks featuring early versions and
demos from 1963 and 1964. This is a privileged glimpse into the world of the
Rolling Stones at work in the studio as the band took its first steps towards
superstardom. The Jagger/Richards writing partnership can be followed as it
develops from nai_ve early compositions to the creation of real classics such
as 'As Time Goes By'.
This remarkable album is an endearing journey into history
in the making and forms essential listening for every Stones fan.
