THESE 2003 180 GRAM series, The Rolling Stones Remastered, is one of the most comprehensive restoration and remastering programs ever undertaken for a major catalog.

The new Rolling Stones LPs were remastered using Sony's Direct Stream Digital (DSD) system. In this case, you likely will not be able to hear any of the telltale digital sound that usually turns so many audiophiles off. Nobody embraces analogue more than we do here at MYMUSICFIX, and after listening to Let It Bleed, we found that reissue to be very warm, rich and analogue-like. We predict the same sonic results from the other titles.

As music critic Michael Fremer points out, "If you own American-pressed originals, I think you will be more than pleased by these reissues, which don't sound at all 'digital' in the cliched sense. If you own UK Decca originals, you're not in the market for these anyway."

Fremer also says in his musicangle review that, "Overall, image solidity, three-dimensionality and harmonic integrity on these releases, pressed at RTI on 180g vinyl, is far better than expected. Bass extension is also quite good, and I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the overall dynamic expression."

ALL ABKCO 180G Records ARE Limited Edition re-mastered Rolling Stones releases. The original analog tape sources were used and then transferred using DSD-equipment to these new masters resulting in the best sound these LPs have had in years.

Often acclaimed as one of the top live rock albums of all time. An exceptional musical document of two November nights at Madison Square Garden in 1969 — the raw energy of “Sympathy For The Devil,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Honky Tonk Women” confirms their reputation as the greatest live attraction of the time, probably ALL time.

Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones in Concert holds the distinction of being the first live album by any artist to have reached #1 on the UK charts. Recorded Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 27 and 28, 1969, Ya-Ya's is considered the Stones finest live album. It was the bands first release to feature guitarist Mick Taylor, who had joined several months earlier.

Career Spanning Set List From The No Security Tour!

From The Vault: No Security – San Jose 1999 captures a memorable show on the band’s tour of that name, which was a continuation of the Bridges To Babylon excursion. This show was recorded in April 1999 at teh end of the North American dates.

The show saw the Rolling Stones returning to San Jose, where they first played in 1965 to 33,000 people over two nights, as their fame spread across America and the world. The No Security show featured a typically exhilarating performance by the band on both the main stage and in stripped-down format on their celebrated B stage.

Opening with 'Jumpin’ Jack Flash,' the band presented a rich mixture of 1960s hits, later favorites and two tracks from their most recent studio album Bridges To Babylon, 'Saint Of Me' and 'Out Of Control.' The set also featured an epic, 12-minute version of 'Out Of Control' and the traditional feature spots for Keith Richards, centre stage for 'You Got The Silver' and 'Before They Make Me Run.'

THE ROLLING STONES SOME GIRLS LIVE IN TEXAS '78 180 GRAM 2LP/DVD (RED & YELLOW VINYL)

Live 1978 Concert On 180g Vinyl Double LP + DVD! Red & Yellow Vinyl!
Mixed & Mastered by Bob Clearmountain From Original Multi-track Tapes!

Live concert performed and recorded during a show at the Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth, Texas, July 18, 1978 during the Rolling Stones' US Tour 1978 in support of their "Some Girls" album.

The Rolling Stones 1978 tour of the USA in support of that year's "Some Girls" album is considered by fans to be one of their very best. The tour followed immediately on the release of the "Some Girls" album and by the time the band arrived in Texas in mid-July the album had hit the No. 1 spot on the US charts. The tour took a "back to basics" approach, with the band and their music very much at the forefront and little or no elaborate staging.

Filmed at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas on July 18, 1978, this concert is typical of the tour with the Rolling Stones delivering a raw, energetic performance in front of a crowd who are clearly loving the show. Many of the tracks from "Some Girls" are included in the live set with a sprinkling of Stones classics from earlier albums. Originally shot on 16mm film, the footage has been carefully restored and the sound remixed and remastered by Bob Clearmountain from the original multitrack tapes. This is undeniably the Rolling Stones at the peak of their form.

DVD bonus features include newly filmed interview with Mick Jagger.

The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 3 LP SET

180g Vinyl 3LP Set On Vinyl For The First Time!
Remastered Hi-Resolution Audio!
Includes Newly Discovered Performances by The Dirty Mac!

The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus features remastered hi-res audio. Includes newly discovered material and never before released performances here on three 180g LPs - first time on vinyl!

Directed by Let It Be's Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the performance was recorded in front of a live audience in London in 1968 and was originally conceived as a BBC-TV special.

"It was an incredible shoot, I think, 36 hours or something," said Keith Richards of the historic day back in December ’68. "I remember not remembering everything towards the end… but it was fun… we went through two audiences… wore one out… it was great!"

The Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus soundtrack has been remixed and expanded to 28 songs and released across triple vinyl.

The show also featured performances from The Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, Yoko Ono, as well as ‘supergroup’ The Dirty Mac – consisting of Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and John Lennon. Unheard tracks by the collective are available on this release for the first time ever.

"You are about to be transported to another age: swinging London in the late sixties. The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus is a time capsule. Two days in December 1968 that in many ways capture the spontaneity, aspirations and communal spirit of an entire era. ...for a brief moment it seemed that rock 'n' roll would inherit the earth." - David Dalton

"...brings back the sleek young Stones in all their insolent glory, recalling a time when they ruled the roost." - New York Times

"The whole thing is awash with skewed period charm, with the late-'60s 'anything goes' mentality..." - The Guardian

The Rolling Stones - Steel Wheels Live (Live From Atlantic City, NJ, 1989)  (Limited Edition Tangerine/Sky Blue Vinyl)

Limited edition 180-gram tangerine and sky blue vinyl 4LP!

Live from Atlantic City, N.J. 1989

Special guests Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Eric Clapton & John Lee Hooker

Having not hit the road for most of the '80s, The Steel Wheels Tour was an astounding return for the Rolling Stones, not least as it was the longest they had by that point undertaken. It was also to be their last with Bill Wyman. Steel Wheels Live was recorded towards the end of the band's 60-date run through the stadiums of North America, in the second half of 1989.

The gate-busting ticket sales were one thing, but the stage and lighting design of The Steel Wheels Tour set the pace for superstar tours as we know them today. Special guest appearances from Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Eric Clapton and John Lee Hooker on this Atlantic City date make this an even more extraordinary document of the band's return to touring.

The Rolling Stones HAVANA MOON - 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 3LP SET + DVD

DVD+3LP set packaged in a LP-sized gatefold jacket

A stunning performance of 18 of their classics!

It's only rock'n'roll — but Cuba really seems to like it. Last March, the Rolling Stones played an historic show in Havana, performing "Sympathy for the Devil," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Paint It Black," "Midnight Rambler" and a host of other tracks to an audience long-starved of major music acts thanks to the embargo of the country.

The British rockers free show attracted a million people in the country's capital city in the same week as President Obama became the first U.S. President to visit Cuba in 88 years. TV News Networks around the world reported that Obama was "the warm up act" for The Rolling Stones. As the Stones took to the stage under a perfect "Havana Moon" in front of an ecstatic crowd everyone knew that this was a life-changing cultural moment for a country on the brink of change.

"Cuba's incredible, man," Stones guitarist Keith Richards told Entertainment Weekly. "We were playing to a million-odd people. And they were all saying ‘The times they are a-changing.' Just one great incredible rush of adrenaline and joy. Was so happy to be there. Never thought I'd get there. Mind you, I didn't think I'd get to Moscow either! But incredible to go to places that have been so isolated from us all for so long. A beautiful feeling."

On Nov. 11, 2016 Eagle Rock Entertainment is releasing The Stones' performance under the title Havana Moon on  DVD+3LP.

The Rolling Stones Sweet Summer Sun - Hyde Park Live 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 3LP/DVD

180 Gram 3LP Set Plus DVD Chronicling The Stones' Historic 2013 Return To London's Hyde Park!

Sweet Summer Sun Hyde Park Live chronicles The Rolling Stones’ historic and triumphant return to London’s Hyde Park in the summer of 2013 with a 2-hour live concert and highlights package including new and unseen backstage footage. The band played to over 100,000 delirious fans packed into Hyde Park for two spectacular outdoor concerts to see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood do what they do best. The Stones delivered a five star performance packed full of hits such as ‘Start Me Up’, ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’, ‘Miss You’, ‘It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll’, ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Doom And Gloom’ and ‘Sympathy For The Devil’, as well as one or two surprises.

Mick Jagger said about the concert: “It was a great gig…It was beautiful with the sun going down over Hyde Park. I can’t think of a better way celebrate the Rolling Stones’ 50 than doing it on our home patch in front of 100,000 people on a glorious summer night…enjoy it… we certainly did.”

Keith Richards commented: “Coming back to Hyde Park was like a full circle being drawn, and the band were in top form. We thought what could be more appropriate than having a great summer in London!”

From the second the Rolling Stones stepped out onto the stage each night, through to the dazzling firework and pyrotechnic display that heralded the end of the concert, fans old and new were treated to a non-stop, hit after hit performance, which took them through the Stones’ huge back catalogue. Keith Richards wowed the crowds by weaving his charismatic guitar licks with Ronnie Wood’s immense solos, Mick Jagger was on spectacular form, his boundless energy on stage matched by a number of stunning outfit changes, and Charlie Watts the unflappable heartbeat of the band, driving the band on through the set.

Former guitarist Mick Taylor – whose live debut with the Stones took place at the original 1969 Hyde Park concert – joined the band on stage to guest on the bluesy ‘Midnight Rambler’ and on closing track ‘Satisfaction’, whilst long-term live band members Lisa Fischer, Darryl Jones, Chuck Leavell, Bernard Fowler, Bobby Keys and Tim Ries all added their inimitable flair and finesse.

The Rolling Stones Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live is the perfect way for concert-goers to relive their favourite memories from the gigs, and for their fans to see the band back where they truly belong: live on the stage in their hometown.

The Rolling Stones Welcome to Shepherd's Bush 180g 2LP

Very Special 1999 Performance on 180g Double LP!

Deep Cuts & Rarities Performed Live!

As The Rolling Stones were preparing to play two nights at Wembley Stadium in June 1999, their first London shows in four years, they announced a surprise show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire for June 8, 1999. An intimate crowd of 1,800 lucky fans were treated to a number of rarely heard gems over the course of 96 minutes. As Mick Jagger stated from the stage that night, "If you want to see the hits go to the big place down the road." And as promised, the deep cuts were deep - "Melody" performed for the first time since 1977, while "Moon Is Up" was brought to the stage for the only time in the band's live career. Sheryl Crow, who opened the show, joins the band during "Honky Tonk Women." This 2LP package is pressed on 180g black vinyl.

ABKCO Films presents a meticulously restored and full-realized version of this first-ever, legendary, but never released film. Shot during a quick tour of Ireland just weeks after "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" hit #1 on the charts, The Rolling Stones Charlie Is My Darling - Ireland is an intimate, behind-the-scenes diary of life on the road with the young Stones. It features the first professionally filmed concert performances of the band and documents the early frenzy of their fans and the riots the band's appearances inspired. The band is shown traveling through the Irish countryside by train; dashing from cabs to cramped, basement dressing rooms through screaming hordes of fans. Motel rooms host impromptu songwriting sessions and familiar classics are heard in their infancy as riff and lyric are united. Charlie Is My Darling is the invaluable frame that captures the spark about to combust into The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World!

"Charlie is my Darling was to be a sort of trial run, get-your-celluloid legs together for any forthcoming feature film and an effort on my part to keep the Stones interested in the idea of film. It would be titled Charlie is my Darling based on the fact that he was..." - Andrew Loog Oldham

"With the realism of Charlie I tried to show they were just the lads next door. It was just a socio-realistic cinema verite film. I was really trying to portray these guys as ordinary blokes to whom something amazing had happened, who loved their music and were doing what they wanted to do." - Peter Whitehead

FINAL BONUS OF THE NEW BARBARIANS KEITH RICHARD & RON WOOD LIVE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 1979 - Recorded on May 7, 1979 at Madison Square Garden. Until here recently, I had sort of forgotten about the handful of benefit shows that guitarists Ron Wood and Keith Richards agreed to play to settle their court cases against them Gig took place just two days after their 'Alive In Maryland - Buried Alive' 2-CD release (see my review). This disc looks to be ten (of the twenty) songs performed at the MSG gig. Tunes here that I got the most out of were their opening Chuck Berry cover "Sweet Little Rock N Roller", the rocking "Let's Go Steady" and their Big Maceo cover "Worried Life Blues". Not to also mention the Ron Wood solo tracks they had done - like "Buried Alive", "F.** Her", the well-received 'Mystifies Me", "Infekshun" and "Apartment No. 9". Line up: Ron Wood - lead guitar & vocals, Keith Richards - guitar & vocals, Stanley Clarke - bass, Bobby Keys - saxophone, Ian McLagan - keyboards and Joseph Modeliste - drums. Not a bad pick.
