c1841 wood engraving
(it is my understanding that this work is a WOOD engraving, and not a steel engraving)

This Hudson River School era wood engraving engraving measures 2.75" x 4" and is printed a sheet of paper measuring 9" x 5.5" with text on both sides.

This work is from Historical Collections Of The State Of New York. New York: S. Tuttle, 1841.

Apparently there were several editions of this work during the 1840s and I am unsure of the precise date of this work.

This is absolutely guaranteed to be an original engraving from the 1840s, NOT any type of reproduction!

In good condition, as illustrated.

My family has been in the antiques and design business since 1955!
