You are bidding on an ORIGINAL piece of art created for the  collectable card game (CCG) MYTHOS.  Mythos was a card game created by Chaosium based on the popular Call of Cthulhu stories by H.P. Lovecraft. This piece is truly one of a kind and is the actual painting commissioned to illustrate the card.  This particular piece is for the card ARKHAM POLICE DEPARTEMENT (working title was Arkham Police STATION). This  piece was painted on artists board measuring approximately 7" x 8".  Its painted area measures at  approximately 5" by 6".  

I've been a collector of Magic art and CCG art since the days of Alpha and currently have over 200 originals in my collection (including THE Mox Pearl).  CCG art is still TREMENDOUSLY undervalued IMHO.  When you consider the value of comic art and the fact that these games have a wide international appeal for over a dozen years and are illustrated by many renowned artists this art is a bargain.  Additionally, most newer art for the industy is virtually/electronially produced with original PAINTED art from the older expansions nearly impossible to find.   A rare and unique gift for a fantasy art, comic art or CCG gaming fan.
