Vintage 1950s La Francesa Mexican Folk Art Cloth Dolls Lot 3 In Boxes 8in Set

Vintage 1950s handmade Mexican folk art cloth dolls lot of three, each dressed in regional traditional clothing and accompanied by two simple cardboard storage boxes.

Each doll stands about 8 inches tall and is constructed with stuffed cloth bodies, stitched and hand-painted facial features, fiber hair, and carefully tailored miniature garments.

Lot includes: a traditional peasant woman with long braided hair, pink floral skirt, green printed blouse, striped apron, woven rebozo-style shawl, and a miniature hand-woven wicker basket.

Also included is a Jalisco-style charro or cowboy figure wearing a wide grey felt sombrero, tan shirt with embroidery, black trousers detailed with rows of side buttons, and a brightly striped woven sarape sash.

The third figure is a regional embroidered blouse woman inspired by southern Mexican dress, with an off-white blouse featuring yellow floral embroidery, a black skirt and wrap trimmed with pink lace, a beaded necklace, and hair styled with colorful ribbons.

Two plain rectangular cardboard boxes with lift-off lids are sized to hold the dolls for storage or display.

One box carries an original printed paper shop label reading "LA FRANCESA, Cananea, Son. Mex." with additional stamped notations and the marked price "$1.95" on the base.

These mid-century Mexican souvenir dolls make a distinctive addition to a folk art, travel, or costume doll collection.
