Rare VHS copy of "The Journey of Butterfly", a documentary weaving together music, art, poetry, and history from children imprisoned by the Nazis in Czechoslovakia from 1941 to 1945. The poetry, written by children during the concert, was set to music by Charles Davidson in "I Never Saw Another Butterfly." Fifty years later, The American Boychoir traveled to Czechoslovakia under James Litton's direction. The film, directed by Emmy award winner Robert E. Frye, features a few survivors who share their stories, preserving the legacy of creativity and the human spirit, which emerged under harsh conditions. It won the 1995 Cine Golden Eagle Award and was broadcast by public television stations via the American Program Service in 1996.
