Regio Canaan seu Terra Promissionis postea Iudaea vel Palaestina nominata hodie Terra Sancta vocata – a spectacular, very decorative and extremely rare original antique map of the Holy Land / Palestine, published by Matthäus Seutter in Augsburg, Germany, in 1727. The map is a double page from a large atlas. It is in very good, clean and well-preserved condition, with one mark / stain in the upper-right corner, as shown. The map covers the Promised Land / Holy Land and Palestine, showing the division of the region among the Twelve Tribes of Israel. It is hand-coloured throughout, with the original colours still very good, vivid and appealing. The reverse is clear and clean. This is a large map, measuring approximately 24 x 21 inches / 61 x 53 cm. A superb example of this decorative and very rare map in superb condition, by Matthaus Seutter, for collectors.
