A characterful vintage oak dining set comprising an oval gateleg / drop-leaf dining table together with four matching-style Windsor dining chairs — two armchairs/carvers and two standard dining chairs.
The table has a lovely rich medium-to-dark oak finish with attractive grain throughout, turned legs and a traditional gateleg base. Both leaves lift to create a generously sized oval dining table, while the drop-leaf design allows it to be folded down considerably when not required, making it a particularly practical choice for smaller dining rooms, kitchens or occasional-use spaces.
The four chairs complement the table beautifully, with classic high arched Windsor-style backs, slender spindles and decorative pierced central splats. Two are fitted with arms, making them ideal as carver chairs at either end of the table.

Condition:
This is a vintage used dining set and should be purchased with its age and previous life in mind.
The table and chairs remain attractive, solid and very usable, but there are numerous signs of age and use throughout. These include surface scratches, scuffs, small knocks, areas of finish wear, lighter and darker variations to the timber and general marks associated with many years of use.
The table top in particular shows visible scratches and surface wear in places, which can be seen in the photographs. There is also wear around the chair arms, seat edges and other contact points. None of this detracts from the overall character of the set, and personally I think it suits this style of traditional oak furniture very well.
These are not new or newly refinished pieces. They are older pieces of furniture that have had a genuine working life, and natural imperfections should therefore be expected.
Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the condition, colouring, grain and wear far better than words alone can.

Delivery is arranged via specialist furniture courier. Free delivery applies to ground-floor addresses within our standard mainland UK delivery area, subject to the location and access conditions below.
Delivery can take up to two weeks, depending on the size of the item, your location and courier availability. Please bear this in mind when purchasing.
Please be patient while delivery is arranged. As soon as an item is sold, it is submitted to the courier network, and I do everything I can to get it moving as quickly and safely as possible. Because every piece of furniture is a different size and shape, different couriers may be required for different jobs.
You will be kept updated throughout, and the courier will also be in touch once arrangements are confirmed.
