GB. KGVI. 1946. RARE ERRORs! BOTH "Extra port hole" flaws. 2½d Victory. Mint.
The flaws are on the upper stamps in the images.
The 2 flaws are similar; a white spot to the left of the 2 port holes and a white spot to the right of the 2 port holes in the hull towards the bow of the ship. Both give the impression of an "extra port hole". They are listed as "aft" and "fore".
- Stamp pair left: "EXTRA PORT HOLE FORE". The white spot is to the left of the 2 port holes. The pair is super as it shows the flaw in situ. There are some hinge remnants on the upper stamp but no thins, tears, toning or perf splits.

- Stamp pair right: "EXTRA PORT HOLE AFT". The white spot is to
the right of the 2 port holes. There is a trace of hinge remnant on the reverse and some gum wrinkling, but no thins, tears or toning.

I have tried to find these on ebay but they are scarce in mint condition. However, a distinguished former Strand, London GB expert has the 2 flaws listed separately that are collectively priced at £240.
These are further examples of the vastly under catalogue-priced stamps of that era that are almost impossible to
find!
RARE to have both flaws on offer at the same time in mint condition!
