This is for an antique 4" brass and wood calliper rule rope gauge number 1206 advertising J. Rabone & Sons Makers, made in England. It is marked with scales for rope on both sides of the wood with the titles Strand, Hemp and Manilla. The brass slide rule measures the circumference's and diameters and it is in excellent condition with no cracks in the wood. Closed it measures 118mm (4.5") long by 45mm (1.75") across.
