This is a black plastic long coal tender made by Louis Marx & Company for their O gauge train line.  It is lettered for the Santa Fe railroad in white (MOST of these tenders are lettered Southern Pacific Lines; the Santa Fe is quite a bit less common).  This one is complete and in nice shape, and even has ALL FOUR TINY CORNER STEPS INTACT!! Many of the tenders out there have at least one broken off steps from play, but this one is all there!  Has the 8 stamped metal wheels on metal axles in the scale 3/16ths type truck side frames, and plastic tilt style coupler on the rear and tab and slot type coupler to hook to the engine, as it should.  Marx used this style of tender with the diecast 666 and the plastic 1666 mainly and perhaps more. Light tarnish on the wheels and axles. Need a tender to complete a boxed set, or to pair with a loose engine you have?  Photos show the car from all 6 sides, with a yardstick in the shots for size reference (it is O gauge, runs on Marx 3 rail train track, which is pretty much the same size as Lionel O-27).  Priced to sell, with only actual USPS Ground Advantage or Priority shipping cost charged to the winner!
