High-quality mechanical hand-wound wrist alarm clock POLJOT caliber 2612 with orange index
This beautiful piece impresses at first glance with its sporty, elegant design and high-quality workmanship. The round stainless steel case is an optimal size and doesn't look too bulky on the wrist. The dial is very clearly laid out. This fact and the very good luminosity of the hands contribute to the time being easy to read (even in the dark). The numbers and indices are applied and additionally provided with luminous material. The metallic BURAN logo can be seen in the upper half of the dial. The fluted bezel is rotatable and lets you fix a point in time using the red marker. All in all, a very classic yet modern looking watch!
Poljot caliber 2612.1 is a Russian version of the legendary alarm clock caliber AS 1475 (AS1930), from the defunct Swiss factory Adolph Schild SA. This is the only Russian alarm clock caliber that was built in the 1960s. Unfortunately, these Russian Signal movements are no longer produced since Poljot stopped producing movements.
Rare: The mechanical alarm tone is generated by a small hammer. The alarm lasts approx. 13 seconds and produces a mechanical rattle.
The hand-wound caliber is equipped with a Glucydur balance wheel. Here too, all axes are mounted in synthetic rubies - even those of the alarm clock lever. The designation ".1" at the end shows that this is a movement with a precision of "1. class". Although one cannot speak of the chronometer standard, one can still assume that this alarm clock wakes up the wearer precisely at the desired time.
