Original 1936 Soviet propaganda poster print, reproducing a striking 1925 composition by Adolf Strakhov (1896–1979), an important Ukrainian Soviet graphic artist.
This authentic pre-WWII printed plate comes from the art publication “Plakat A. Strakhova” by S. Raevsky, published by Mystetstvo, Kyiv–Kharkiv, 1936.
The original artwork is titled “Навстречу к мировому Октябрю” (Towards the World October) and bears the artist's printed signature and date, 1925, in the lower-right corner.
The composition features two monumental portraits of working men, with industrial buildings, factory chimneys, and a statue-like figure of Lenin in the background. Radiating beams of light reinforce the revolutionary theme.
The design combines early Soviet revolutionary propaganda, constructivist-inspired geometry, dramatic portraiture, and monumental graphic art.
