• Other Remarks: [Description]

This is a Volks Yo-SD Rengemaru Super Dollfie. This listing includes the main doll body and the wig only. The head plate is marked [09.08/HDP] which confirms its production era in August 2009. This is a classic example of the Volks doll craftsmanship from that period.

  [Collector's Note]

Rarity: This model was a limited release from 2009 and is no longer available through retail channels. Authentic Yo-SD Rengemaru units from this era are increasingly difficult to find in the collectors' market. Appeal for Collectors: Rengemaru is highly sought after for its distinctive gentle facial sculpt and expressive features. As a part of the Yo-SD line it represents the pinnacle of Japanese ball-jointed doll (BJD) artistry. Background: Volks is the pioneer of the BJD hobby in Japan. The Yo-SD (Young Super Dollfie) series was specifically designed to offer the same level of detail as larger models in a more portable and charming 27cm scale.

  [Condition]

The doll shows signs of aging consistent with vintage resin items including noticeable yellowing. There are stains and color transfer on the head area specifically around the wig line. Please examine the photos carefully as this item is sold as-is for collectors and restorers.
