Original antique cabinet card photograph depicting a decorated soldier of the Imperial Russian Army posing with two women in traditional Ukrainian clothing.

Period: Circa 1910–1917, late Russian Empire / World War I era.

The seated soldier wears an Imperial Russian military uniform with a peaked cap, shoulder straps, leather belt, and tall boots. On his chest is the St. George Cross, a prestigious Imperial Russian military decoration awarded for bravery, together with another military medal.

The soldier has a distinctive mustache and poses beside an older seated woman and a younger woman standing behind them.

Both women wear traditional clothing. The younger woman has a necklace consisting of several strands and pendant-like ornaments, possibly resembling traditional Ukrainian coin jewelry.

The photograph was taken outdoors, apparently near a rural house or building.

The original cardboard mount features a decorative embossed border and the inscription "Cabinet Portrait" along the bottom.

The reverse retains part of the original photographer's decorative advertisement. A damaged inscription may identify the photographer as Platon Grigorievich Plinsky, although this attribution has not been independently verified.

Photographer: Possibly Platon G. Plinsky.

Location: Presumably Ukraine, exact location unknown.

Dimensions: 109 × 164 mm (approximately 4.29 × 6.46 inches).

Format: Original antique cabinet card photograph.
