• Other Remarks: [Description]

This is a rare Sakura Rooney doll from Pipos, a highly sought-after animal-themed ball-jointed doll (BJD). Purchased approximately 15-16 years ago at a doll event, this piece features a delicate pink resin body and retains its original default makeup and eyes. The set is complete with the original box, bedding (cushion), serial number card, and the small accessories (cheese and leaf) that were included at the time of purchase.

  [Collector's Note]

Rarity: This specific "Sakura" limited colorway is a vintage release from the mid-2000s. Finding a Rooney from this era, especially with its original accessories and serial card intact, is exceptionally difficult in the current secondary market.

Appeal for Collectors: For enthusiasts of Pipos dolls, the Rooney sculpt is an iconic classic. This specimen is particularly valuable because it has its default face-up preserved and has been kept in a controlled environment without exposure to sunlight. The inclusion of the original cheese and leaf miniatures adds significant value to the complete set.

Historical Background: Pipos was a pioneer in the animal BJD movement that gained massive popularity in Japan and South Korea during the 2000s. This doll represents a key period in doll history when animal characters became high-end collectible art pieces rather than just toys.

  [Condition]

The doll has been stored in a dark, dedicated doll cabinet and has never been taken outdoors. While the resin is originally pink, please assume some degree of yellowing consistent with its 15-year age. It has been handled with bare hands (washed prior to handling). The box is in good condition with minor signs of shelf wear due to age.
